BC HYDRO

FIRST CUSTOMER PAYS COST OF OTHER CUSTOMERS BC HYDRO POLES ALONG THE ROAD

The BC Utilities Commission says its been done like this for 40 years.  But just because it has been done like this for 40 years doesn't mean it should stay like that.  Its unfair!

This is what is happening to BC Hydro customers.

2 separate people bought lots, lot 2 and lot 3.   Lot 2 built a house and paid for 2 hydro poles that were placed in front of lot 3.  After the hydro poles were installed, lot 3 then decided to sell.  Lot 3 never paid a cent for the hydro poles that were installed in front of his property but yet he profited from the hydro poles.  Lot 2 paid for the hydro poles while lot 3 didn't pay a thing.  That is not fair.

If you don't feel this is fair either ... please contact the following and let it be known.

Nothing is going to change unless we try to change it.

BC Utilities Commission takes complaints about BC Hydro and if you can't get anywhere there, the BC Ombudsman will also take complaints regarding BC Hydro.  I didn't get anywhere with either.  Now I am contacting the BC Public Interest Advocacy Centre.

Not only the above happened to this same customer ... read more here.

Homeowners pay big dollars to have BC Hydro install hydro poles along the roads so they can pay to have electricity sent to their home.  Then homeowners give BC Hydro property rights to the poles.

BC Hydro is a provincial crown corporation and reports to the Ministry of Energy Mines and Petroleum.  The Ministry of Energy Mines and Petroleum explain more about the Transmission and Distribution System.

This customers cost was $2,692.12 to have BC Hydro install 2 hydro poles along the roadway.
