ACCIDENT ON WESTSIDE ROAD AT ESTAMONT BEACH
MAY 24, 2008
Not sure what caused this single vehicle accident, but it happened approx. 10 AM Saturday May 24, 2008.
This accident may have been caused by the driver trying to miss an animal. Two days before this, a young buck was hit in the same area and had to be put down because of a broken leg. A young black bear was also seen nearby (between Ewings Landing and Valley of the Sun) the same day and approx 1/2 hour before the deer was hit.
Apparently the woman driving is alive, and was taken to hospital.
Please watch for deer along Westside Road as there are many deer along the Westside of Okanagan Lake BC.

road from this single vehicle accident.

The vehicle went over this bank right here south of Attenborough Road, Vernon BC
This is where the vehicle with driver started going downhill. This is a
steep hill.

The white stuff on the road is foam that the fire dept used because of a fuel
spill.
The car did roll.
What a nice car, a newer Toyota Celica with fancy wheels now going to be written
off by ICBC and added to everyone's insurance policy.
That was a beautiful Toyota Celica. The drivers compartment roof caved in
enough it was touching the top of the high back seat. Don't remember
seeing the air bag deployed when looked inside.
