Koolatron Automotive Cooler is Defective
These are pictures of a defective 12 Volt Koolatron automotive cooler that you plug into your vehicle for travelling.
The Koolatron motor still works, so if you need a motor I can sell you mine.
I would recommend that you don't buy a Koolatron cooler for the simple reason that you use the Koolatron cooler in a vehicle, but the Koolatron cooler is not heat resistant while sitting in your locked up van in the summer when you need it most. These are pictures of what happened to my Koolatron cooler. The lid won't seal anymore because it warped in the heat.
The cooler lid does not seal anymore because the body and lid melted and warped.
We tried to straighten it out by putting screws in, but it
didn't work. The filling in the lid has
expanded and won't allow the lid to be straighten enough.
Both the lid and the body are warped. The insulation of
the cooler has expanded
and will not allow straightening.
The Koolatron cooler motor still works though.
Anyone need just a motor for an automotive 12 Volt Koolatron Cooler? Its worth $40.00 US new.
